Hero Abuse
This is sort of old news but it still agonizes me so it gets a spot in my new blog. We prosecuted three American Heros for giving an enemy a fat lip! (fortunately, good sense prevailed and they were acquited)At the same time we gave the same enemy all legal rights, legal representation and a trial in New York City (maybe not if the public is heard) near the site of 9/11. Somewhere along the line the Justice Dept has forgotten whose blood made it possible for it to sit in Ivory Towers and pontificate on the rights of enemies while disrespecting the valor of our soldiers. Nice going, huh. This is why I am making posts here. The Government at all levels has become too wrapped up in what the ACLU might think, what is politically correct and playing to constituancies while losing the most important thing law can and should consider in our behalf which is, "WHAT IS RIGHT?".
Unions and the Government
It is no secret that the current White House and congress populations were largely funded by Union Campaign contributions. OK I guess. But now the pay back at our expense. There is a bill moving through Congress to bail out Union Pension funds at taxpayers (read all taxpayers) expense. The Union pension fund is underfunded by 165 Billion dollars. Union members on average receive a third more pay and double the benefits than non-union workers. So why do non-union workers now have to subsidize Union pensions? Why don't the Unions bail out the Unions? They seem to find big bucks to give to campaigns don't they. Unions are busing people from LA to Phoenix to interfere in Arizona's illegal immigrant issues. Why? Illegal immigrants take away jobs! It would seem Unions would be against using dues to support illegal immigrants. How about hundreds of union teachers in NY sitting in rubber rooms doing nothing for years and receiving full pay? By the way, state, city and local union pensions are underfunded by 312 Trillion! Is that the next bail out? This is really out of control. Enough pay back with money we do not have by folks who do not benefit. Keep an eye on NJ Gov Chris Christie who has stepped up to the plate on this issue at the risk of losing his Job. A courageous guy.
Our Comander In Spin
Do I care if our President makes an appearance on The View? Not sure. It is the last place I would like to see him but I guess in his infinite wisdom he found the appearance good for the Country. More importantly, during that same precious time in the New York studios of The View, there was a Boy Scout Jamboree celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of that uniquely American instution. I do care about the President's decision to travel about an hour North to the View Studios in NY as opposed to traveling about the same distance South to the Richmond, Va area to make an appearance Honoring the Boy Scouts of America's hundredth anniversary. I just can not make that decision come out as anything but stupid, senseless and insulting. Perhaps the Boy Scouts are too American?
That kind of senseless decision making troubles me a lot.

About my blog
I decided to create this blog because I no longer believe our Government is "By the People" and "For the People". In my view, there is way too much actionless debate in Congress, constant spinning and half truths from the White House, spending on foolish, unnecessary things, making policy with no regard to what the people want and need and, above all, all of us being treated like uneducated sheep who will just lay down and say OK to everything that is done.
Here is an example just to get the tone of this blog set:
Some who make school policy feel, kids who pray should be sent home but kids under ten years old should receive explicit sex education. They conjur up all kinds of legal, liberal and constitutional garbage to make their case. However, this is just plain stupid. We are now tenth in the world in math and science and these buffoons are concerned if one of our kids prays? They want time spent on sex ed rather than math and science? Where are their heads?
I will comment on much, much more in this blog and hope some will find my comments of interest.
